The stylish, newly built Waucoma Event Center is located at 308 Riverview Drive West in Waucoma. The 80' x 120' handicapped accessible center is a perfect choice for a wedding reception or any event with a kitchen and banquet tables.
When one first walks in to the reception hall, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful trey ceiling already decorated for your big day, and in minutes you will know that you have found the perfect match for your reception and dance.
What all began by a small committee known as the Waucoma Community Development Group who serve as the board for the Waucoma Event Center was built on donations only. The land was donated by the Leonard and Roberta Brannon Family. Although a contractor was hired to construct the building, much of the work was done by the board members and many other volunteers from our area to help cut the cost of the building. Board members include Dave Wenthold, Kevin Kleve, Mark and Nena Winter, Jim Franzen, Marlene Klemp, Greg and Angela Balk and Shirley Riha.
The beautiful 80' x 120' handicapped accessible building can be used to hold all of your important life events. The lovely and large 72' x 85' main hall can hold 500 people for a large event. The main hall is ideal for your wedding reception, anniversary or birthday party, family reunion, graduation, vendor show, auction, funeral dinner, business meeting or anything else that you need plenty of room for.
They also offer a smaller 20' x 35' Brannon room that will seat 50 - 70 people. This room is well suited for a birthday party, family gathering or small meeting and offers a small kitchenette. This includes a small countertop with sink, microwave, dorm size refrigerator and large screen television.
They also have 40 8' banquet tables and 40 5' round tables for your use along with 550 beautiful black cloth covered padded chairs.
Their large, fully functional kitchen offers a multi-level working island, plenty of workable counter space, a 5' x 12' walk in cooler and smaller refrigerator and a commercial dishwasher. They also offer dishes for rent.
They have a bar, offering you several different kinds of beer and pop, mixed drinks and wine. We also have a large screen television for viewing all of the games.

“Our 2015 calendar is filling up with 12 weddings booked along with 7 graduations. We also have several reunions, anniversary parties and birthdays. On Sunday March 15 we have our first toy auction of Dan Riha’s collection. We have also started booking events for 2016 and 2017. Exciting to see the dates fill up,” exclaimed Nena.
The board would like to thank the many donors and volunteers who donated their time, money, and materials to help complete this building. They would also like to thank those that have used the building and for those who have booked upcoming events with them. Due to unforeseen and upkeep expenses, they are still accepting donations.
Fundraisers to help the center include this fall the 2nd Annual Vacation Raffle with the winner being drawn in December. Look for more information on that this fall. The Twisted 5K is scheduled for October 24th. Proceeds from this event go to the building fund for the Waucoma Event Center.
