Grab the family, friends, and even grandma and the dog for some great food and fun at the Spillville Arts & Crafts Festival the first Saturday in October. Did you know besides being the prime viewing place to see the fine fall foliage, it's also the place for the annual arts and crafts show? Make it a perfect drive by visiting the historic Czech village of Spillville tucked in among the rolling hills, with its amazing views and spectator bluffs in vibrant fall colors and see what the quaint community has to offer. Enjoy the taste of fall at the large craft show where people come for miles around to browse the booths and have a tasty lunch. The church ladies will be serving warm, homemade chicken noodle soup, hot chicken sandwiches and kolaches (Czech delicacy). These Czech ladies of St. Wenceslaus make the best rollicky (Czech rolls) and kolaches around, they just melt in your mouth. Mark your calendar for the Spillville Fall Arts & Crafts Festival Saturday, October 3rd at Spillville school gym, which is called Chihak Hall at 208 Church Street. The event is from 9-3 and come hungry! They will also have take outs and you can buy whole pies, and kolaches by the dozen to take home.
