Emma Webb is a senior student and artist who sees the world differently. She is no ordinary student, and it reflects clearly in her art.
Webb has a clear vision for her artistic endeavors and wants to do something for others instead of merely creating her art.
The talented student discovered her passion for visual arts about four years ago and has been sharing her creations with her peers and Siouxland art community ever since. She hopes to inspire young students to take the first step into art. She recalled the first time she ventured into the field not having a clue and what she can do now.
She loves including colored pencils, watercolors, and acrylics in her artwork to help capture the raw emotions at a particular point in time.
An essential characteristic of her artwork is the use of diverse and vibrant colors to help draw the attention of the people looking at it.
Webb displays her skills and creativity through various art shows. She received an honorable mention for her latest detailed painting of music legend, Ray Charles, at a show last month.
On the other hand, she does her fair share to help those who are less fortunate within the community.
Webb even volunteered to paint the walls of Siouxland Soup Kitchen, and the mural reflects the values of the organization. Emma’s father, Scott Webb, is very proud of her mural painting and cherishes the fact that people get to see Emma’s talent every day when they go inside the Soup Kitchen.
Webb is set to host her first art show in Sioux City. She will be featuring 13 of her best pieces at Vangarde Arts.
