What to help support a great cause for kids in need and have some truck and tractor pullin’ fun? The Edgewood Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 4th Annual “Pullin’ for Kids Truck and Tractor Pull" at the Edgewood Rodeo site south entrance in Edgewood on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The last event raised $5,000. This year’s proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. There will be ECI Pullers at 5:00 p.m. The Tri State Pullers are back for a show starting at 7:00 p.m. Come see locals pull their trucks and tractors along with semi pulls. There are still box seats available that hold twelve people.
The Kelchen brothers, (Lavern and Jeff) operate a modified two-wheeled truck called “Corn Burner.” This family practice started after a brother-in-law started truck pulling. The Kelchen and Sullivan families have learned a great deal over the years. A nephew of Lavern and Jeff Kelchen, Jason Sullivan will also be on site in his truck, “Agitator.” Several other family members have joined in on truck pulling as a family affair.
Don't forget to enjoy delicious food and drinks from the many vendors. Indulge in meat from the regionally-acclaimed Edgewood Locker. With your help, we can make “Pullin’ for Kids Truck and Tractor Pull” a success, while helping support kids in need.
