Peace, Love, and The 4th of July in Garnavillo, Iowa

Are you ready to celebrate our nation and have a good time? Come celebrate at "Peace, Love and the 4th of July" in Garnavillo. The community has planned a day of family-fun activities on Tuesday, July 3rd and Wednesday, July 4th. 

On Tuesday, July 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., Scratch Cupcakery will be on the scene! There will also be an Ice-Cream Social and a Teddy Bear Parade. The Grand Marshall for July 3rd will be Don Koss. Listen to music by Dave Poggenklass. The local Fire Department will be giving fire truck rides.

On Wednesday, July 4, start your morning with 5K Run/Walk. Breakfast will be available at 7 a.m. as well as lunch later in the day, created by KC 2209. Enjoy listening to theSounds of Nashvilleand “Back to County” before the themed “Peace, Love & the 4th of July” parade starts at 10 a.m. The Grand Marshalls will be Guttenberg Industries and the Ertl Family. The city park will have food, drink, and entertainment throughout the day. A delicious chicken dinner will be available after the parade. Watch the Clayton Ridge Drill Team perform. Not to mention, a state-sanctioned Kids Pedal Pull happens at 12:15 p.m. for children 4-11 years old. A Tae Kwon Do demonstration will be performed at 1 p.m., along with music by “The Side Project.”

A raffle and "Lucky Button" drawing happen at 4 p.m. (participants must be present to win). At dusk, the sky will light up with a fireworks display. It’s sure to be a glorious sight to see the bright sparkle and glitter around the hills of Clayton County.

Garnavillo's celebration offers all-day attractions for you to enjoy. Play "Legion Bingo" or ride a mechanical bull. Watch the kids have fun with the bounce houses and water activities. Come together in Clayton County for "Peace, Love, & The Fourth of July".
