Along the scenic banks of the mighty Mississippi River in Clayton County, the small friendly riverfront town of Marquette holds their Annual Lazy River Beer and Wine Festival at the riverfront marina.
Rain or shine, this summer-time fun will be the place to be on Saturday, June 22nd. Call up your group of friends to have a good-ole-time enjoying live music, FREE food, and lots of beer and wine tasting. Get your tickets early for $30 or pay $40 at the gate. It’s a relaxing day to enjoy samples of local brews and wine, mingle with friends, and bask in the sun as the Mississippi River flows on by.
In addition to local beer and wine sampling, food will also be available. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the live music all afternoon.
Just picture it: You're walking in and you see a table of dark chocolates all laid out, just waiting for you to try. Next to the delectable, delicious chocolate is a sweet raspberry wine called “Big Red” made by Eagles Landing Winery to sample a taste with.
Swirl the deep red wine in the glass and let the aroma of the raspberries fill your senses as you take a bite of the dark chocolate. Then sip the ruby-red wine and savor the taste of the two flavors together. It's tempting not to have another – it’s that deliciously sweet.
So, what are you waiting for? Come to experience locally made beer and award-winning wines. What more do you need than great food, beer, wine, live music, and beautiful scenery all around you?
