"It Runs in the Family" Is Coming to the Elkader Opera House

Are you in need of a night out? How about some comic relief to laugh the stress away? The Elkader Opera House has the cure for you!  It Runs in the Family is a classic farce by Ray Cooney, presented by the talented Opera House Players on April 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13 with evening shows starting at 7:30 pm. and a matinee performance on Sunday, April 7th at 2 pm.

Picture this: you're the leading surgeon in London’s most prestigious hospital. You're preparing to give a once-in-a-lifetime lecture in front of your esteemed colleges and world-renowned physicians and in burst your long lost love that upped and vanished from your life 18 years ago. She tells you some life-altering news.

Hum? I wonder what the news could be? How will it affect the doctor’s lecture? It is moments away from happening. Who else will be appearing? How will all of this affect the great surgeon's day? To find out all of these answers, get your tickets!

Before the play begins, grab a bite to eat at any of the wonderful establishments in Elkader. There's a little bit of everything here. Enjoy a delicious buffet or gourmet burgers at Johnson’s Reception Hall and Restaurant or a quick bite at Fennelly's Irish Pub and Restaurant or Drew’s Bar and Grill. No matter where you go, it’s all so good!

Come to Elkader for a fun night that will have you laughing in your seat.
