Harvest Time Made Fun at Elkader's Harvest Festival

Looking for some family-fun this harvest season? Take the River Bluffs Scenic Byway through rolling hills and rocky limestone bluffs with a beautiful array of colorful leaves in Elkader. Let’s celebrate fall at the Harvest Festival Saturday, October 13th and have some family-fun at Founder’s Park. The celebration begins at 10 a.m.

The leaves are turning amazing shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. Sweatshirts are out of the closet. The air feels cool and crisp. Geese are flying in their 'V' formations as they head south before winter snow appears. Family gardens are being picked and canned. The “great orange pumpkin” is ready to be carved into a scary jack-o-lantern. Farmers combines are rumbling through yellow-brown corn-fields. Corn dust is floating in the air. It's harvest time!

Join the fun in Elkader at this year's Harvest Festival. Halloween is just around the corner. Whose pumpkin will be the scariest? The silliest? The most detailed? Or the grooviest pumpkin? Show off your artistic side at the event through making a colorful bedazzled fall crafts. Enjoy a friendly relay race. Warm up with a hot cup of delicious sweet apple cider and enjoy this gorgeous autumn celebration in Elkader.
