Hit Your Stride at These Winter Games in the Cedar Valley This Winter!

The Frosty Buns Race Series is coming to life in the Cedar Valley this January and will encompass three races:

  • Iowa Games Championship Snowshoe Race
  • Winter Warrior Duathlon
  • Sticky Stride

The Iowa Games Snowshoe Race 5K and 10K is January 13th at Ingawanis Woodland, 2588 Hawthorne Ave., in Janesville.

The Winter Warrior Duathlon, a combination fat bike and snowshoe race, is February 3rd at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo. Snowshoes will be available but participants are responsible for bringing their fat bikes.

The Sticky Stride is on March 3rd at Hartman Reserve Nature Center in Cedar Falls.

These races are set up to take place on the public land that surrounds us. Black Hawk County Conservation and Hartman Reserve Nature Center are hosting this new winter series. Not all of the races are new, but coming together as the Frosty Buns Race Series makes this their inaugural season. For more information, call 319-277-2187.

Cedar Valley Winterfest is February 11th at South Prairie Lakes in Cedar Falls.

Enjoy the great outdoors this winter with the following family-friendly events:

  • Ice Fishing
  • Skating
  • Snowshoeing
  • Cross Country Skiing

Join in! This is really a day filled with winter fun, family, and friends.

Cedar Valley Winterfest is hosted by Impact Outdoors. For more information call 319-610-1111.
