Family Getaway: Mark Twain Style on the Mighty Mississippi

A day on the Mississippi is better than two weeks on land.”

-Mark Twain

Looking for a new and exciting Iowa experience that's somehow timeless? Why not rent a boat cruiser for summertime fun on the water? Boatels House Boat Rentals and Marina in McGregor has exactly what you're looking for! Add a new chapter to a lifetime of vacation memories on the mighty Mississippi. This adventure is a one-of-a-kind combination of gorgeous scenery and Midwest history.

Native Americans called the Mississippi River “Father of Waters.” The waterway's awe-inspiring beauty gives guests breathtaking scenic views. Father Marquette and Louis Juliet were the first Europeans to discover and travel on the Mississippi three centuries ago. Mark Twain wrote all about the romance of the wild Mississippi River.

Boatels in McGregor has many rental options to choose from. There are three sizes of passenger boat cruisers (12, 10, and 6), with private bedrooms and all the comforts of home. Pontoon boats are also available for a slower float. With 32 miles of the largest scenic river in Northeast Iowa, visitors won't regret the trip. Pack your bags, bring your fishing gear, a camera, and beach supplies for a great time on the Mississippi.
