Check out these five events happening across the state this February!

35th annual Brr-y Scurry, Clinton (February 6)

The race day atmosphere is exciting, the four-mile run/walk route is flat and fast and the post-race party is legendary - all the necessary ingredients for "one of the best little races in the Midwest!"

Love is in the Air Hiking and Snowshoeing, Hinton (February 14)

Couples 18 and older can spend the evening hiking or snowshoeing the trails at Hillview Park then enjoy some refreshments by the fire. Cost is $10 per couple and pre-registration is required.

Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra, Cedar Falls (February 22)

Established in 1956 with the construction of the famous Shanghai Opera House, the Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra is one of the premier symphony orchestras in China. Renowned for its interpretation of classical symphony repertoire, the performance will include Antonin Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95 From the New World.”

Late Night at Seven Oaks, Boone (February 22-23)

Dubuque Symphony Orchestra Concert: Firebird and Film Favorites, Dubuque (February 23)

This delightful, kid-sized symphony concert (approximately one-hour long with no intermission) features memorable movie themes from Moana, How to Train Your Dragon, The Incredibles, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire along with Stravinsky’s fantastic Firebird and more. Attendees are invited to come in costume and stick around for activities after the concert.
