Cruise With the River Park Cruisers in Guttenberg This Fall

The breathing taking scenic views of Northeast Iowa are beginning to change as leaves on trees among the rocky limestone bluffs are changing to amazing shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. It's time to get out and enjoy fall. Be part of the 21st Annual River Park Cruisers on September 15th in Guttenberg along the shores of the Mississippi River.

For all of you car enthusiasts, get your vehicle all shined and waxed up for the show. Three trophies will be handed out in each class. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon on River Park Drive with an entry fee $15, or $10 in advance (prior to September 11). Trophies will be distributed after the car show at the Welcome Center on the south 300 block around 2:30 that afternoon. Walk around and visit with folks who have taken the time to restore sleek cars designed with custom paintwork from hot-rods, convertibles, muscle cars, and pick-ups. You may need your sunglasses from the glare of the shine off these hoods! Around 3:30, with a turn of the key, the rumble and roar engines will start off the cruise. Driving through the picturesque views of Clayton County this time of year is a glorious sight. When the cars roll back into Guttenberg, Lakeside Ballroom will have food and drink available. Then you dance the night away with live music by “Backwater.”

See you in Guttenberg this fall!
