This action-packed, family-friendly, fun-filled day is a poker run with a twist - do it with whatever transportation you wish. With stops all across town and around the lake, you can easily complete the task by boat, bicycle, motorcycle, car/truck/bus, or even walking.
To complete the run, you must register between 10:00am – 11:00am at The Landing at South Shore Inn in Clear Lake for $20, make it to at least five of the predetermined destinations, and return to The Landing by 6pm to be dealt your poker hand. The best 5-card hand wins! Bonus cards will be dealt for making it to all the stops. Also included in the registration is a scavenger hunt. Cash prizes to be awarded for the top three poker hands and various prizes from local businesses will be awarded for the scavenger hunt.
The best part is, it’s not a race! Your time between stops doesn’t matter, so take your time and discover Clear Lake. All contestants playing poker must be 18 years or older, but families are encouraged to participate in the scavenger hunt. Questions in the past have included naming something in the display window at a downtown business, counting the flavors of ice cream offered at the Viking Drive-Inn, or finding the giant green lawn chair on North Shore Drive.
