The year’s first foodie fest hits the Quad Cities February 26 - March 4. For QC Restaurant week, participating local eateries present specialty menus that celebrate the simple pleasures of food and dining. Kitchens will price certain items at a value while offering others as free sides, both in the spirit of accessibility and to boost interest in local restaurants.
To enjoy these exclusive dishes, just make a reservation at any one of the 30+ restaurants involved (the list is still growing). There is no ticket purchase necessary – unless you want to attend Chef Battle Quad Cities on February 22!
The Chef Battle will operate much like your traditional televised cooking competition, only this time you get to see it live. Local chefs have one hour to break out their best recipes and impress the judges – you! That’s right: you not only get to sample the food, you get a say in who's declared the winner. General admission tickets are still available for $35; all guests 21 and over will receive two (2) complimentary drink passes.
Area favorites like Bent River and Biaggi’s return with lunch specials while chophouses like Mo Brady’s and The Phoenix contribute more elaborate dinner spreads to this year’s restaurant week. Even businesses as far away as Tuggers in Port Byron and the Lavender Crest Winery in Colona have specials to inspire a foodie road trip.
