Are you ready to revel in remembrance of classic rock-n-roll favorites from the 50's and 60's? The house will be a rockin' at the Elkader Opera House for two special events on Thursday, February 7th and Saturday, March 23rd.
Queue up the days of the poodle skirts, leather jackets, and letterman sweaters, jukebox lit up with bright colors. They'll be throwing back to the days when folks played vinyl records that got people up movin’ and groovin’ to dances like the popular hand jive, the hop, and the jitterbug.
The entertainment starts at 7pm on February 7th with the Johnny Rogers Show with classic hits commemorating the 60th anniversary of "the day music died". The music will explore the history of rock, with hits from Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Richie Valens, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, and more. It'll be a fantastic evening in Elkader.
On March 23rd at 7 pm, Elvis Rock-N-Remember Tribute will be in the building. America’s Got Talent Winner and Branson, Missouri Entertainer, Joseph Hall will make you think Elvis really has really arrived. The resemblance is remarkable.
