Dollar Day at Ames Municipal Pool, April 10, 1-3 p.m.

Step Into Storybooks, Ames Public Library, April 16, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

LEGO® Exhibit at Reiman Gardens, April 23, Through October

The Nature Connects: Art with LEGO® bricks exhibit is back at Reiman Gardens with all new sculptures. The exhibit will feature 13 larger than life, colorful displays made with 500,000 LEGO® brick pieces by artist Sean Kenney and will simulate how all living things are interconnected. Learn more!

LEGO® Brick Engineering, Reiman Gardens, April 23, 11 a.m., 1 or 2 p.m.

Kids will join Iowa State University students for an activity at Reiman Gardens exploring engineering! Practice programming with LEGO® rover car materials. Work in teams to complete a variety of tasks, then head back outside to see the new Nature Connects® exhibit with sculptures made from LEGO® blocks. Learn more!

Run For The Trees, Iowa Arboretum, April 23, 8 – 10 a.m.

Join the Iowa Arboretum and the Boone County Historical Society for a beautiful scenic 5K or 1 mile family walk or run on the well-maintained trails. Learn more!

Open Streets, Main Street Cultural District, April 24, 1-4 p.m.

Open Streets provides a variety of activities for children, families and older adults alike! Bike, walk, skate or run to the Main Street Cultural District and stay active all afternoon.
