Chill Out at Lansing's WinterFest Craft Show!

Is Cabin Fever getting you down? Ready to get out and go for a beautiful scenic drive along the Mississippi River and do some unique shopping? Grab your friends and join the fun in Lansing during their Winterfest event in Allamakee County. Make sure you don’t miss the free Winterfest Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday, February 20. Come early for the best selections from the crafters and vendors. The event is downtown on their main street, at T.J. Hunter’s Banquet Hall, same place as the Chili Cook-off. All through Lansing there will be all kinds of events going on for all ages. While at the craft show, you and your children can sign up for all kinds of activities throughout the day.

Yours truly, Joyce Meyer Photography will be there with my work for sale. I enjoy getting out, meeting people, and talking about my work. My photos can be seen all over Iowa-- from commercial work to billboards, to websites and even magazines. I have had nine national magazine covers and various works in popular magazines like Country /Country Extra, Birds and Blooms, and Our Iowa. I will bring with me a large display of affordable nature photography on wrap around canvas that have a finished back and hook, all ready to hang! The canvases come in a variety of sizes from small 8x10's to larger pieces such as 24x36. The sturdy and tight fitted canvas is wrapped around a wood frame and has a black backing with a hook. They are sealed and scratch/UV protected. You will also want to see the beautiful metallic prints that seem to change with the light. If you haven’t seen my popular selection of glossy photo metals, you are missing out! Many people put the metal art on stands or hang it. Metal photography has become a favorite of many, and these pieces go fast!  I also have photos on tiles adorning velvet-lined keepsake boxes, beautiful cherry wood tissue boxes, trivets, and keychain holders. You will also enjoy picking out the perfect greeting card, with 24 different scenes to choose from. The inside of these beautiful cards is left empty, so you can put your own personal note inside. And don’t forget-- check out the back of each card for a bonus picture. Also available will be coffee cups, key chains, decorative bookmarks, magnets, and more. There will absolutely be something for everyone’s budget.

Bring your appetite as well, as Sara Vagts, known as the “Cake Lady” will have her amazing flavored angel food cakes, homemade noodles, and much more. Her daughter, Amber Langreck, will have her one-of-a-kind jewelry for sale. Michelle Gauer will be on site with her divine handmade scented candles. Dean and Nancy Dieckman will bring their gorgeous display of handmade lights! Jackie Tulius will have her fantastic, beautifully designed handmade jewelry, and there will also be the beautiful rosemaling work of Donna Lefs. Susan Strohl will have her creative knitting items for sale as well. Many vendors selling will be on hand for the event selling the following popular brands:

You won’t want to miss this exciting event, as well as all of the family fun Lansing WinterFest has to offer! See you there!
