Western Iowa Wine Trail Event

All wineries on the Western Iowa Wine Trail are teaming up for their annual unique tasting experience called “Cheers to Cheese” on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday April 24, 2016.

The wine tasting tour includes all six wineries starting in Crescent and down to Thurman, Iowa, for a total of about 150 miles of Midwest wine culture. To participate, guests must first purchase a “passport” either online or at whichever winery the guest wants to start. Passports are $22 for a single and $35 for a couple.

The first 150 passports purchased will come with a special gift set featuring different wine-related items such as wine glasses, coaster plates, cheese wedges, and more. With the passport, which is good for both days of the event, participants can then travel to each of the six wineries. Once there, winemakers will pair cheese-themed food with their wines.

Participants will also be able to purchase wine at each of the stops. Even though participants must be 21 and over, designated drivers can be under 21 years old and are welcome to enjoy food at each stop.
