The Tuff-N-Nuff Miniature Rodeo Comes to Ames!

Come out and see the talented cowboys and cowgirls at the Tuff-N-Nuff Miniature Rodeo on September 17 & 18 at the Iowa State University Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center!

The Tuff-N-Nuff National Finals will be held at the Hansen Ag Student Learning Center and is the largest miniature rodeo association in the world. The mission of the Tuff-N-Nuff Miniature Rodeo Association is to mentor each child in all aspects of the sport of rodeo and to foster compassionate animal care, demonstrate good sportsmanship, build new friendships, and consistently gain confidence one ride at a time.

Kids under the age of 18 will participate in a variety of rodeo events from mini-bull and mini bronc riding to barrel racing and wild pony races. Sunday will be the short round which begins at 10 a.m.

Immediately after the 5 p.m. round on Saturday, there will be an auction that will help support the Tuff-N-Nuff Miniature Rodeo Association (TMRA) Banquet which will be held at a later date. Items up for bid range from a 5-day South African Hunting Safari to a custom made cooler and much more!

Mikayla Rich will be singing the National Anthem before each round with a concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Mikayla auditioned for The Voice, won the Bill Riley singing competition, has performed at the Iowa State Fair and multiple events across the state of Iowa.

Diamonds ‘N’ Dust Equestrian Drill Team will also be performing on Saturday evening, beginning at 5 p.m. as well as Sunday during the 10 a.m. Short Round. Iowa’s favorite equestrian show team will be featuring multiple drill routines including LED lighted and unlighted performances. This group of 13 young ladies will dazzle audiences with their beautiful smiles, and amaze even the most seasoned rodeo spectators with their speed and daring moves. You won’t want to miss either of these two talented performances.

Admission is $8 per Rodeo, kids 6 and under are free. There will also be free Lil’ Rednex Pony Rides on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. So, be sure to come out to the Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy this one of a kind event!
