The Lucky Star Market is opening up their Spring Market on May 30th, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iowa State University Research Park. The Market is a place where both emerging and experienced artists, designers, crafters and vintage collectors can set up their own “shop” to showcase their talents and meet their customers. It’s a “pop-up”, seasonal market launching in Ames, Iowa to encourage and support creative entrepreneurs, inspire Central Iowans to shop locally, and bring a truly unique experience to the Ames community.
The market will be held entirely outdoors, creating a “village feel”, with booths and tents lining the parks’ wind-around parking lot. The Market will go on regardless of inclement weather. This year’s Spring Market will feature over 60 handmade, art, jewelry, craft, design and vintage vendors, as well as live music, food trucks, fresh flowers, plants, a giant slide and obstacle course for kids, and even a vintage-inspired photo booth. The Spring Market echoes the passion and integrity found in a curated market full of wonderfully unique handmade goods, contemporary design and artwork, re-purposed and vintage finds.
The Lucky Star Market is the ‘sister market’ of Horseshoe Craft & Flea in Denver, CO; Lucky Star is a “juried” event with a diverse set of products and vendors that share the common commitment to high quality goods and customer service. This rare and wonderful shopping destination gives customers a chance to interact with, and buy directly from, their source. The Spring Market is also the perfect place to come upon a chance discovery or one of those “lucky finds”, and you’ll be sure to leave with an abundance of inspiration!
