Attention ladies! Everyone needs a day off to spend out and about—relaxing and exploring the wonders of northeast Iowa. We have the day planned and you just need to show up! The 15th Annual Ladies Day Out in Elkader is set for Saturday, March 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Put your shopping shoes on and spend the day exploring the beautiful, historic town of Elkader in Clayton County. Visit all the unique shops in downtown which will have in-store presentations featuring everything from DYI projects and crafts to spa and makeup advice. Many storefronts have undergone a façade renovation and are waiting for you to visit!
Spend your day walking along the Turkey River and stopping by the 11 Historic Register Sites located in Elkader. Put some spring in your step and visit Founders’ Park and the Whitewater Park: new attractions in Elkader!
Bring an empty stomach and enjoy the wine and food tastings that will be offered at many of the businesses and then head to lunch at one of the many mouth-watering restaurants that Elkader has to offer. Don’t worry—you’ll walk off the calories!
Registration is free and can be done anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the FreedomBank Community Room at 210 S Main St. in Elkader. The first 300 people to register will receive a gift gab and coupon book!
