If you and your kids love LEGO, you might want to mark a date on your calendar for 18th to 20th of September this year. This weekend, Des Moines will play host to the world-renowned LEGO Kidsfest Creativity Tour, to be held at the fabulous Iowa Events Center.
The Tour gives children (of all ages!) the chance to get creative and enjoy the LEGO experience through family-orientated building activities, play areas and much, much more. There’s plenty of room to have fun in the 96,000 square foot space! In fact, despite many requests from all over the county, Des Moines is the only town with facilities capable of hosting such a grand-scale event! It really is well-worth a visit.
Take a tour around the LEGO Model Museum, featuring life-sized models created entirely from LEGO bricks. Build your very own custom car, and then challenge your friends and family to a thrilling race down the LEGO Race Ramps. Get busy building in the Construction Zone, and enjoy the Emceed challenge as you really have the chance to show what you can do with LEGO!
LEGO DUPLO bricks are just perfect for the youngest members of your building clan. Unleash your team player in the Brick Battle Zone where you can take part in relay races, bridge building contests, and the zany tower speed build. For the art-lover, there’s a chance to create a stunning masterpiece and put it on show in the LEGO Art Gallery.
