People who need fresh food year round can stop by the Newbo City Market for their awesome homegrown food items. The city market is at the heart of the emerging Bohemia district.
Newbo City Market was formed in the year 2010 to promote access to healthy food, create jobs, and act as a flood recovery vehicle. The market was opened in October 2012. The market has fun events throughout the year, with a great atmosphere for shopping.
The Newbo City Market also features the Kirkwood Culinary Kitchen to help you master cooking skills, along with rotary hall that stages special events, private parties, a seasonal market, and indoor events. The market yard hosts the farmers market and fairs. There is a children’s place area on the northern end of the market yard.
The market yard and market square act as outdoor venues for seasonal concerts, festivals, vendors and gathering with friends. The farmers market has been hosting some of the best local farmers since 2012.
Newbo City Market was named as Iowa’s Outstanding Tourism Spot for this year at the Iowa Tourism Conference in October. The market also offers many attractive craft items and jewelry to add to your shopping bag.
