Arnold’s Park Amusements in Arnold Park, Iowa is a magical family adventure in a beautiful lakeside setting. The park is located on Lake Street in Dickinson County, Iowa. The 125-year-old amusement park was started in 1889. Many awesome family memories have been made at the park over the years. Children's Rides: The amusement park is exciting for all ages. Children giggle aboard a horse on the beautiful timeless carousel. The Dizzy Dragon ride adds a sense of magic to the park. The youngest visitors laugh with delight sputtering in circles on miniature motorboats or aboard Freddie the Fish. The bravest young visitors display courage with a ride on the Kiddie Coaster. Happy screams are heard from little pirates aboard the Pirate’s Revenge. The El Paso Train presents a pint size view of the park, while Long Lines Limited Train offers a full park excursion.
Thrill Rides: Thrill seekers will acquire goosebumps as the Legend Roller Coaster approaches the point of no return! Barrel rolls aboard the Roll-O-Plane will start the heart pumping for adrenaline junkies! A spin on the Rock-O-Plane will turn a visitor’s world upside down! A ride on the Log Flume is sure to cool the family off during the heat of the day. The Ferris Wheel boasts a breathtaking view of the park and Lake Okoboji. The swings lift and begin to move as all cares disappear. The Spider, Spin the Apple, Tilt-A-Whirl and the Scrambler leaves park visitors more than slightly dizzy! Tipsy House and the Mirror Maze prove to be an exciting adventure.
Tickets and Passes: The family will enjoy the rides, concerts and awesome food at an economical price controlled by purchasing individual tickets. Park day passes are available for visitors that prefer to ride all day long with discounts available for senior citizens and children. The best deal for families is the HAPI Fun Pack for a family of four. The pack includes four day passes, 12 game tickets, four hamburger or hot dog meal deals, discount tickets for Queen II and Raceway along with coupons for Queen’s Court Shops. Queen II Cruise: Visitors may choose to take a one-hour excursion cruise on the Queen II. The Queen II was commissioned in 1986 as the “Flagship of the Iowa Navy.” Visitors enjoy sites of the Okoboji Lake from aboard the Queen II. Raceway Tracks: There are three go-kart style raceway tracks at Arnold Park. The slick track presents an exhilarating challenge for the experienced driver. The Family Track is for ages 9 and up. Arnold Park offers a Kiddie Track for the younger set, ages 5-9, to experience the thrill of racing in a safe environment. Check online for prices of passes, tickets and hours of operation.
Other Attractions: Visitors will enjoy strolling through the Maritime Museum and looking at relics and antiquities. The gift shop offers post cards, t-shirts and souvenirs. The amusement park hosts a free concert series at Preservation Plaza each summer. A schedule of concerts is available online. Arnold’s Diner, Midway Grill and concessions stands are located throughout the park for guest’s dining pleasure. There is volleyball at the beach and Extreme Water Sports rents jet skis, paddle boards and more.
