A 10th Anniversary Celebration in Osceola!

People always say that one of the perks of living in a small community is that you get to know everyone so well. However, as communities grow and change, it's not always easy to keep up with everyone, including the people who own and operate most of the businesses in the community. Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to meet some of them and learn a little about them and their business before you walk in the door? Well, now you can!

Osceola Chamber Main Street is proud to host the 10th anniversary of our premiere Thursday Night in the Park: Meet Your Merchants! This is a great big THANK YOU from the business community to you! Thank you for shopping locally and helping to keep small businesses open in the community and surrounding area. We wouldn't be a growing community without your help and we want to express how much that means! On Thursday, July 28th, join Osceola Chamber Main Street and area businesses on the Courthouse Lawn from 5:30pm-8pm. This is a great chance to get that down home feel by meeting and greeting business owners and employees. Businesses will have booths set up on the Courthouse Lawn, letting you meet the movers and shakers behind the business as well as meet some key employees and learn more about the different businesses we have represented in the community. There will never be a better chance for you to learn more about local small business than through this event!

Worried that you won't get a chance to do much mingling since you have a family to feed and entertain once the work day is over? Fear not! Osceola Chamber Main Street's Board of Directors will be giving away a free meal of hot ham & cheese sandwiches, chips, and a drink while supplies last at the Osceola Chamber Main Street booth. Plus, there will be a bounce house for kids so they can work off some of that excess energy while you walk through the booths, meet the people, and sign up for door prizes.

Did we forget to mention that? Everyone that goes through the food line will get a ticket that automatically enters them into a door prize drawing. Throughout the evening, we will be giving away door prizes from the bandstand, so stick around as long as you can and hopefully win a great prize. We will also help out the businesses that night and give away their door prizes from the bandstand if they want, so make sure you stop by each booth and sign up for prizes at those that offer them. This is a great chance to meet the businesses, but also get some great gifts from them too!

And we have a special surprise this year too! As a thank you to the businesses that are taking part, Osceola Chamber Main Street will be giving each business in attendance a special ticket so they too will be entered into drawings. We want to make sure the businesses know how much they are appreciated too, so we will be randomly drawing business names for some business-specific prizes.

Last, but not least, we have our feature entertainment of the evening. Back for another stellar year is Nashville rising star and Billboard charting artist Diana Upton-Hill. Diana is no stranger to Osceola as she has performed at Meet Your Merchants the last couple of years, but she continues to wow the crowd with her musical ability, including showcasing her debut album: Do Love Well. A native Iowan, Diana is great to interact with the crowd and encourages people to come up and talk to her in between sets and after the show.

While she is a fresh face and sound on the country scene, Diana began singing with her dad’s band at the age of 3. She was also known for school and church concerts, and she stepped on stage for her first performance in first grade to sing “Never Smile at a Crocodile” from Peter Pan. Diana is no stranger to the stage either, having honed her performance and vocal skills in a variety of shows such as Into the Woods, Miss Saigon, and reaching her personal milestone of landing the role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Diana continues to be a versatile performer, including performing on television and contributing to commercial jingles and voice-overs. As you can see, she’s a talent for all ages and delights, so make sure you bring your lawn chairs to enjoy her music all evening and round out a perfect evening helping Osceola Chamber Main Street to Meet Your Merchants!
