Founded in 1855, the seven villages of the Amana Colonies were founded by German immigrants seeking religious freedom. It became one of America’s longest-lived communal societies and has been named a National Historic Landmark.

The Amana Colonies are a featured destination in the Iowa Lottery’s newest game with Mike Wolfe, original American Picker.
