In 1914 the Smith family started the American Pop Corn Company in Sioux City and a century later they are still popping America’s favorite popcorn. You may know them better as Jolly Time.
Check out their story as they are celebrating their 100th birthday.
While in Sioux City, in addition to enjoying the city where fun is ‘popped,’ you can also visit some of the location’s unique destinations. The Sergeant Floyd Monument, which marks the burial place of Sergeant Charles Floyd, is a tall stone obelisk and is recognized as the country’s first National Historic Landmark. It commemorates the only fatality of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. While in town, be sure to check out all that Sioux City has to offer!
Jolly Time Popcorn is featured as part of the Iowa Lottery’s newest game with Mike Wolfe, original American Picker.
