You might remember this blog post from a few months ago.
If not, we’ll bring you up to speed:
A Danish TV station aired a 1 hour documentary last fall and the Elk Horn Danes became very surprised at the attention they were given. Even the Mayor Stan Jens and local citizen Jordan Hansen were flown over to do a media blitz before the film was released in Copenhagen. The show was called in English “Denmark on the Prairie” it proved to be a very entertaining film for the Danish citizens to learn there was a small rural community on the Prairie of America that was so proud of their heritage and saving their old world traditions.
So what does that all mean?
The first documentary was so popular, that on Monday March 17th at 8 pm – Denmark TV will show part two of Anders Birch and Jakob Vølver’s documentary. The second installment of the documentary is being called “Denmark on the Prairie – back to Elk Horn”.
Once more all our friends from the little Danish village in Iowa will be welcomed into the living rooms of those in Denmark that marvel at our authentic Danish Windmill and the little Danish Villages of Elk Horn and Kimballton.
